It has been said that laughter is the best medicine and if you ask me it’s something the world could use a lot more of right at this moment. With all the anger that seems to be going around because of the current events, getting everyone together and laughing for an hour and a half is a perfect idea. If only we could find a venue and a person who can provide those laughs, I mean where would we look? It seems we have the luck of the Irish on our side as this Friday the answer arrives in theaters.
While in Philadelphia, Kevin Hart filled 50,000 people in a football stadium and put on a show that those people will be talking about forever. Having ruled both the stand-up comedy world and the box-office in the past few years, it only made sense to combine the two and take his act to the big screen. While Kevin Hart the actor ‘act’ can get old as he seems to be playing the same guy involved in the same scenario every time. Kevin Hart the comedian is that guy who will have your sides hurting from laughing so hard. This isn’t your typical stand-up comedy movie, as Hart decided to have a little fun. Enlisting the help of some friends like Halle Berry and Don Cheadle, Hart has a little fun playing the James Bond role. After that opening, which includes a great musical, like Mr. Bond, Hart shows up for his show ready to perform.
What a show he gives, as he goes through his life, telling stories like only he can. This is exactly what we need, someone who can make us forget our troubles for a few hours. Instead of tears of sorrow, we would have tears of laughter or as I call them the best kind of tears. This my friend is a good time to be had by all and the perfect way to spend this weekend. As you go in though, let me give you some advice. Avoid drinking any kind of liquid as it might shoot out your nose or all over the person in front of you. Also be prepared to laugh, and laugh a lot, and when it’s all over, leave with a smile on your face believing for that moment the world really isn’t that bad of a place.
